CHINA'S POPULATION GAME

 China's Three Child Policy has got the attention of the entire world and has forced them to think on China's plan to expand it's population again.Lets first understand the history of China's Population policies,In 1979 the Communist party of China Introduced the One Child Policy.The main goal of this policy was that China does not outpace economic development due to population growth and also to ease and relax natural resources challenges and imbalances.

 Later on in 2013 China relaxed the policy and introduced the two child policy which allowed couples to have a 2nd child if either parent was the only child.Experts argue that this policy decreased the number of first child births,Economists also suggest that focus should be on reducing the child rearing cost rather than simply relaxing birth quotas.

 Now in 2021 amidst the Pandemic China has introduced the 3 Child Policy which aims to improve China's population structure,actively respond to ageing population and preserve the HR advantages.The new policy also pledges to reduce family spending on education.This decision was a result of the 2020 decade population census report which reported only 12 million births in China which lowest since 1961.This also relaxes the previous stringent birth Policies.
